Details

Chabert Emergency Housing was a temporary housing community developed in response to Hurricane Ida, which struck southeast Louisiana in August 2021 and caused widespread damage across the region. The facility was developed to provide short-term housing for doctors, nurses, and first responders supporting operations at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center during the immediate disaster response and recovery period.

The project delivered a 50-bed temporary housing facility designed to provide safe and reliable accommodations for critical healthcare personnel and emergency responders. The development required rapid coordination with local officials, healthcare administrators, and service providers to quickly establish a fully operational housing site that supported essential medical services during a critical time for the region.
